Cross-cultural understanding is an essential skill in global society. Based on the comprehensive English proficiency improved in Year 1, students learn about the things they are passionate about from among a wide range of cultures. -

CLIL is a learning method that originated in Europe and involves learning about cultures through English. In addition to acquiring practical English skills from the basics, students collaboratively learn about a variety of points of view and values and present their opinions. -

Materials are prepared using digital technology, and discussions are held in English through COIL. Through digital communications in English, students polish their language skills as tools to pave the way to careers.

Four specialized fields based on the desired region and purpose of study
The department offers four fields that integrate the study of English and culture: American Culture, British Culture, Cultures of the English-Speaking World, and English Studies. They cover a wide range of topics, including literature, music, film, musicals, fashion, language, education, religions, and ethnic groups. Our aim is individuals who can communicate their thoughts from a variety of perspectives in English while digging deeper into learning about areas of personal interest.
