You should LEARN how to MAKE sentences with the verbs USED to EXPLAIN the seven routes of administration (Textbook, p. 24). Some sample sentences about scenes from the assigned videos have been INSERTED into the lesson for Week 6.

In order to GET speaking practice (which will help you remember vocabulary and grammar patterns), you can FOLLOW the 3-Minute Routine explained in Week 1 for the exercises in your textbook. This is the best way to PRACTICE in small groups of 3 or 4 students. Students can TEACH each other, even without a teacher. LET'S TRY it with the Exercises in Unit 5, pages 26 and 27. GO to your channels on Teams. The teacher will TIME you to KEEP the pace lively.

LET'S GO OVER the answers to the Exercises on pages 26 and 27 of the textbook.

((Power Point: Unit 5 Mistakes))

Now ... please FORGET all the mistakes that you MADE ... FORGET that you ever MADE any mistakes. Instead just CONCENTRATE on the correct patterns. FOCUS on how verbs are USED to MAKE sentences. The simplest, and most common sentence pattern, of course, is ... the SVO pattern.

Here are some sentences and noun phrases from your answers to last week's Flash Quiz. Periodic review (at intervals of 14 days or more) of lists like this one may be one of the best ways to PUT grammar patterns and voabulary into your long-term memory.

Today's Flash Quiz will TAKE PLACE inside a channel on Teams (Flash Quiz Meeting). After watching a short video clip, you will WRITE just one sentence, a Conversation Starter.

The teacher will OPEN a new meeting. JOIN the "Flash Quiz Meeting" on Teams now, and let's GO OVER the directions

Time for You to Practice

During the Group Work Leaders should MAKE SURE that all students that are online KEEP their microphones ON (so that they can SPEAK) AND their cameras ON (so that they can SEE each other).

c Chat

Group X2@Week 8
Leader: Hanako
Plan A: 3-Minute Routine
Textbook pp. 26-27

(()): Apply some of this ointment ...
((R)): Insert one of these suppositories ...
(()): Apply one of these anti-fever patches ...
Now LET's GO to your channels on Teams to ENJOY some English practice in your discussion groups.
You NEED to CHOOSE a leader.

At the top of your report WRITE
(message #1) your group's name, "Week 7",
(message #2) the leader's name,
(message #3) Plan A: 3-Minute Routine, and
(message #4) Conversation Starter, then
Level 6-7 pairs
.

Follow the 3-Minute Routine explained in Lesson 1 for each sentence (and question, perhaps). The sentences should be about scenes from the assigned videos.

If you HAVE any questions about what you are supposed to be DOING, first DISCUSS the problem with your group, then ... if you are still in doubt, DO what you or your group THINK is right, (RAISE your hand if you're in the classroom) and SHOW it to the teacher (the PDS Cycle).
