テーマ
Language and Communication
授業の概要
This course aims to provide the students with opportunities to consider the significance of language in communication. Language plays a critical role in human interaction even though nonlinguistic media, such as facial expressions, also carry important information. The course is designed to enhance understanding of language functions in communities.
授業の到達
目標
This course has two purposes to be achieved by students. One is acquisition of basic concepts of language and communication sciences. The other is achievement of academic tasks in English. The second aim requires students to fulfill some prerequisites in the foreign language, e.g., taking lectures, reading a textbook, and the examination.
