テーマ
Continuing in the World of English
授業の概要
Students will improve their capability to understand spoken English by being immersed in a purely English aural environment. This semester the focus will also be on connecting and combining information, and listening for inference.
授業の到達
目標
The goal of this course is for students to start listening to English without translating it into Japanese. This requires not only familiarity with actual English sounds, rather than Japanese approximations, but also the cognitive shift from translation to the use of English as a language in its own right.
