授業の概要
This seminar will focus on introducing students to the culture and history of the 1960s--an amazing decade that featured profound social and cultural events that truly changed the world. Many of the amazing events of the 60s are still very relevant today: Freedom of social expression, social equality, individualistic fashion, sexual freedom, rock music, heavy metal etc.

目標
This class will focus on understanding what happened and why through studying the events of the era through classroom lecture, Hollywood films and popular music from the era. Films include: Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Some Like it Hot, The Graduate, and Forrest Gump. Music includes: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, & The Beach Boys.

3Begin study of the fashion and sexuality of the 1960s by comparing “Breakfast at Tiffany’s and “Some Like it Hot”.Study background information about "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe. (15分〜30分)
