We will use bilingual movie scripts and language & study guides to help you understand the words and meanings clearly, plus discussion of the plots, characters, and messages. Movies for Spring are Erin Brockovich (2000) and Groundhog Day (1993). 授業の到達 目標 To understand the real English of American movies, through bilingual scrips, listening exercises, Movie Guides, and cultural explanations. Relying on subtitles alone usually provides a very different experience. Subtitles usually give only a general sense, without nuances of feeling, jokes, or references to American culture or events.
