This is a selected survey course on the films of Hayao Miyazaki. Both Japanese and English are used with emphasis on English usage 到達目標 This is a film studies and English language based content class. The first semester presents some of the films by Hayao Miyazaki. The class combines both English and Japanese in the DVD and written materials. The themes of the films for this semester are Magical worlds and the Inner Child. Students view selected films and complete worksheets in English based on each film story. A short semester report on a related topic is assigned. Film reports 40% Film tests 20% Class project/assignments 10% Final Exam 30% 授業外の学修 (予習･復習) Students should read English handout materials about each film before tests in order to accurately complete test questions. 教科書・ 参考書 Materials for the class provided by the instructor.
