Students will need to take skills learned in the first semester about writing paragraphs and apply them to the longer report. In particular, students will work on: (1) Summarizing ideas from outside sources in their own words (2) Using and citing sources properly (3) Organizing ideas in sections and sub-paragraphs 授業の内容・ 計画 1 Orientation, topic selection and road mapping 2 Abstract Writing 3 Review of Abstracts. Data Mining: Finding Reference Sources 4 Summarization and Citation (Basic) 5 Summarization, Citation and Referencing (Advanced) 6 Data Mining: Finding and Presenting Information 7 Section 1: The Problem 8 Peer & teacher review of drafts. 9 Section 2: The Causes 10 Peer & teacher review of drafts. 11 Section 3: The Effects 12 Peer and Teacher review of drafts. 13 Section 4: Possible Solutions 14 Peer Review. 15 Section 5: Conclusion 評価方法 （基準等） In-class assignments: 20%.
