科目のねらい | | OBJECTIVES This course has two aims, improving language (the ability to study and research cultural issues in English) and improving cultural knowledge. Students should look at relatively simple topics and examine more easy-to-understand aspects of general culture. The aim is to build up their knowledge of various aspects of the cultures of English speaking countries so that in later years they can “join the dots” and be able to handle more abstract ideas. |

授業の内容・ 計画 | | Lesson content & weekly plan Classes will be taught in a three-week cycle: Week 1: Introduction, vocabulary/grammar, intensive reading/listening. HW: extensive reading Week 2: Reading/Listening, freer practice (discussion, role play etc.), deciding poster topics HW: poster preparation (Vocabulary test) Week 3: Poster presentations, discussion HW: Extensive reading
