Don’t be shy in communicating with foreigners. 到達目標 The object of the class is to improve and or sharpen our English communication ability by having fun sharing our life experiences, opinions on many topics and our dreams for the future. Each of the following topics has speaking, grammar, pronunciation, listening, writing, and reading exercises. 日常的な英会話を習得し、コミュニケーションができるようになる。 授業の内容・ 計画 1. Introduction to the class and each other 2. Introductions and greetings; names; countries and nationalities 3. Jobs, workplaces and school 4. Schedules; clock time 5. Shopping and prices; clothing and personal items; colors and materials 6. Music, movies, and TV programs; invitations and excuses; dates and times 7. MIDTERM TEST 8. Families; typical families 9. Sports, fitness activities, and exercise 10. Routines 11. Free time and weekend activities 12. Vacations; chores 13. Stores and places in a city 14. Neighborhoods; houses and apartments 15. FINAL TEST 評価方法 （基準等） Evaluation will be based on 1) attendance, enthusiasm, some homework either preview or review style (30%), 2) two class assignments (20%), and two tests (50%). 授業外の学修 (予習･復習) Improve your pronunciation through trying to recite the sentences that you learn in this class. Good pronunciation also brus hes up your ability to catch English words. ◎授業前までにテキストの指定された部分を予習しておく必要がある。 ◎復習として授業内で取り上げた英語表現をしっかりと覚えておくこと。 教科書・ 参考書 Jack C.
