A secondary objective is to introduce students to people from different English speaking cultures through the example scraps given in the textbook. In this course students will also learn and practice STRATEGIES FOR THE TOEIC LISTENING TEST. 到達目標 Can you effectively talk about your personal experiences using personal “scraps” in a “show-and-tell” style? Can you describe the cultural experiences of the characters (and countries) introduced in your text book? 授業の内容・ 計画 The textbook has 8 topics, but students will be required to choose and give only 4 presentations. Each topic will be covered in a cycle of three weeks: Week 1: Teacher introduces and students read and talk about 2 topics. Students choose ONE topic they want to present on. Students begin work on textbook exercises and presentation models as　examples of useful language. Week 2: Students give presentations in small groups. Week 3: Topic review. Vocabulary recycling and exercises Plan Week 1: Introduction to the course and Introduction to ‘’Scraps”. After the presentations, they will be required to learn the vocabulary and the common errors from the topic covered.
