The 1960’s was an amazing decade that featured profound social and cultural that truly changed the world. Many of the amazing events of the 60’s are still very relevant today: Freedom of social expression, social equality, individualistic fashion, sexual freedom, rock music, heavy metal, movies with social conscience, etc. The following historical events all took place in the 1960’s: JFK, civil rights & MLK, Vietnam War, hippies & psychedelic expression, the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Apollo Moon Rockets, heavy metal music.
