English Conversation
Four Steps to Fluency
Quickly, Easily, and Automatically

Step One
RECITATION
You are speaking English, NOT reading it. Perhaps you are telling a story. It begins with a sentence and continues sentence by sentence. DIVIDE them into 4 parts 4区 when you memorize them: S V O +A It will give you spaces to pause and rest.

Practice the last sentence and then from the next to last. Add sentences from the end. That way you will have more confidence at the end of your recitation than the beginning. Your self confidence will build, and the last impression will be a good one.

Step Two
SPEECH
YOU decide (a) what to say and (b) how to say it in English. You are MAKING sentences from scratch.

After that it is like Recitation. Divide your sentences into four parts. Practice them intensively (again and again).

Step Three
TARGET SENTENCES
You canNOT use an entire speech in a conversation. Other people speak. The flow of the conversation is unpredictable. You can only plan the next sentence.

PREPARE 30 lists (one for each day of the month) of about 10 sentences that you might be able to USE in a conversation. Practice them extensively (one minute each month).

Step Four
CONVERSATION
Then the person who RAISED their hand and said the sentence (in the first minute) STARTS to WRITE it in the Chat Box of your group meeting on Teams. The writer REPEATS the sentence or parts of it as they WRITE. Everyone else in the group REPEATS after them. This is the third minute.

Be sure to DIVIDE the sentence into 4区, after WRITING it.

As you WRITE ... REPEAT the phrases(声を出す)in each 区 (about 5 times). Then when you are FINISHED WRITING, ... PRACTICE SAYING the full sentence 2 or 3 times, without looking at what you have WRITTEN. TRY to SPEED the sentence UP (like the Bounce Patrol does with numbers).
