The Graduate School of Law established its Master's Program in 1964 and Doctoral Program in 1966. The School's principal purpose is to enable students to master advanced levels of legal theories in specific fields and to develop the ability to put legal knowledge to practical use. It is also continually involved in preparing students for various fields of society.
In 1992, the School adopted the new name of Jurisprudence to cover the entire law program in order to give more attention to the study of legal theories to meet the demands of internationalization, diverse modern politics, economy and social problems as well as to prepare students for highly professional service.
More than six hundred students have graduated from the School, having been trained in a small group seminar system under the instruction of distinguished professors.
