With the public’s rising interest towards health topics in recent years and the arrival of the ageing society, ‘preventive medicine?E ‘highly advanced medical technology?Eand ?Ehe securing of quality of medical treatment?Eare to become the crucial issues of the future. Up until today, the focus within pharmaceutical education has been on basic pharmaceutics intended for the development of pharmaceuticals. However, we believe that in the future, in the field of medical treatment, there will be a strong need to train pharmacists so as to they can handle pharmaceuticals for the prevention of illnesses, for diagnosis, therapy and health improvement in an effective, safe and responsible way.
At the School of Pharmacy of Aichi Gakuin University, we strive to train pharmacists to become specialists with a rich and humane personality and a high ethical standpoint, whilst developing a comprehensive fundamental knowledge of pharmaceuticals enabling them to practically apply pharmaceuticals appropriately and to provide adequate information on them. The career paths of graduates from the School of Pharmacy are manifold; yet the specialised knowledge mentioned above proves to be extremely beneficial not only in work environments like hospitals and pharmacies but also when they engage with the research and development of pharmaceuticals.
